Indian-origin Mitesh Kumar, who committed a murderous attack on his ex-wife in New Zealand, pleaded guilty

Auckland: Apna Punjab Media: Mitesh Kumar of Indian origin, who fatally attacked his ex-wife in New Zealand, has confessed to his crime. In his confession, Mitesh said that if his ex-wife died and he went to jail, all the property would go to the children, this was his intention. According to media reports, Mitesh Kumar separated from his wife in February 2023 after 18 years of marriage, but there was a dispute between the two on the issue of divorce. Mitesh’s wife was demanding more amount in the divorce papers while Mitesh wanted to pay less amount. Before the incident on January 11, Mitesh’s ex-wife had not met her two children for four months, in view of which a meeting was organized in a restaurant. But Mitesh was thinking something else. At the appointed time Mitesh entered the restaurant and sat opposite his wife. When the wife asked about the children, he said that the children were standing across the road and would come soon. Mitesh had brought a kitchen knife in his pocket and meanwhile he insisted on taking less amount for the divorce settlement but the ex-wife refused to talk about the amount. Meanwhile, Mitesh showed an objectionable picture of his ex-wife which Mitesh had taken a long time ago. Mitesh insisted that if she did not agree to a lesser amount, he would show the picture to people. Mitesh’s ex-wife got angry at this and started trying to go out. But as soon as she woke up, Mitesh took out a knife and started attacking her. There was an outcry in the restaurant and the employees came forward to save the woman.
