In India Today News, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini led a cabinet meeting and approved 19 out of 21 key decisions. The cabinet will start the Haryana Assembly’s winter session on December 18.
The cabinet also approved amendments to the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993, to reduce the validity of tourist vehicles operating in the state. Under the amendment, in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Haryana, diesel vehicles with All India Tourist Permits can now operate for 10 years, while petrol and CNG vehicles can operate for 12 years.
Outside the NCR, petrol, diesel, and CNG vehicles with All India Tourist Permits can operate for 12 years. Authorities will condemn vehicles that exceed this limit. The amendment sets the validity of goods-carrying vehicles, school buses, and other petrol and CNG vehicles in the NCR at 15 years.
