California: Apna Punjab Media: India has strongly condemned the vandalism that took place at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Sacramento, California, United States of America on Friday, September 24. Consulate General of India, San Francisco has taken up the matter with local authorities for immediate action against those responsible. “Consulate General of India, San Francisco, strongly condemns the acts of vandalism that took place on the night of September 24 at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Sacramento, California,” the Consulate General of India, San Francisco said in its statement. “The matter will be taken up with the local authorities for immediate action against those responsible,” he said. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple in California was vandalized with anti-Hindu messages like “Hindus go back”. This was the second incident of desecration of a Hindu temple in America in 10 days. BAPS, a non-profit “Hindu” organization, said the incident was recorded at a temple in Sacramento. Ami Berra, who represents Sacramento County in the US House, condemned the incident and urged people to stand up against intolerance.
