Washington: Apna Punjab Media: Former US President Donald Trump, in his first election campaign rally after narrowly escaping a fatal attack at an event in Pennsylvania, dismissed critics’ concerns that he is a threat to democracy, saying He has ‘taken the bullet of democracy’. Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance was also present along with Republican Party’s presidential candidate Trump at the rally held in Michigan on Saturday. More than 12,000 people gathered to watch Trump and Vance at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. Referring to Democratic Party leaders, Trump (78) said, “They keep saying that he (Trump) is a threat to democracy. I say, ‘What have I done against democracy?’ this is madness. The former president also talked about Project 2025, which his opponents claim is a threat to democracy. Trump distanced himself from the project, saying, “I don’t want to know anything about it, but they’re putting out misinformation and disinformation,” and he thanked the staff at Butler Memorial Hospital, where He was taken to his rally in Pennsylvania after the shooting incident.
