Haryana government failed to control drug smugglers: Aam Aadmi Party State President Gupta

Sirsa: Apna Punjab Media: State President of Aam Aadmi Party, Dr. Sushil Gupta said that the BJP government has failed to control drug smugglers in the state. Young people are dying every day due to drug overdose. Out of 22 districts of the state, 16 districts are badly affected by drug addiction, in which Sirsa is at the first place. He was talking to journalists after the meeting of party workers here today. Dr. Gupta said that due to unemployment, youth in villages and cities are falling prey to drugs. At some places synthetic drugs and at other places white drugs have reached. Haryana government has completely failed to stop drug abuse. The BJP government has neither been able to break the supply of drugs nor has it made any concrete arrangements to free the youth from drugs.

Many posts are vacant in the hospitals and de-addiction centers of Haryana for a long time. He said that apart from this, illegal drugs and spurious liquor are being sold openly in Haryana. Along with the youth, the number of drug addicts is also increasing in Haryana. He said that according to NCRB, there have been more than 500 deaths due to overdose since 2014, for which the BJP government is directly responsible. The BJP government is bent on ruining the youth of the state. Dr. Gupta said that there is a severe shortage of medicines as well as medical facilities in Sirsa. There is no provision of canal water for drinking in Sirsa. People are suffering from many serious diseases due to drinking underground water. The government had talked about building a medical college but till now not even a single brick has been laid in the name of the medical college. People have to go to Punjab or Rajasthan to get their treatment.
