Vancouver: Apna Punjab Media: Harjinder Singh Sidhu has been appointed as the police chief of Delta City, British Columbia. For the first time since the formation of Delta Police, a Punjabi has been appointed to this post. Harjinder Sidhu, popularly known as Harj Sidhu, joined the Delta Police in 1993 and rose to the position of chief by discharging every responsibility with diligence and honesty. Being in Delta, a port on the west coast of Canada, the police here have many responsibilities. Delta Police is responsible for keeping an eye on goods imported and exported from abroad. Announcing the appointment of Harjinder Sidhu, Police Board Chairman Ian Tait made a special mention of his vision and diverse experience.
