According to IGI airport sources, during the four-day police remand, the couple told the investigating police officers that they had sought the help of a visa agent from Kalol town in Gandhinagar to obtain visitor visa for Canada. Sources at IGI Airport said the couple had planned to enter the US illegally from Canada and their agent had also assured them of jobs in the US. Following the couple’s confession, a team of Delhi Police reaches Gujarat and camps in Gandhinagar to trace the escaped human smuggler.
