Good news for Indians who want to go to America, the Biden government has announced a new scheme under ‘Startup and Stay’

New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: The path to living in America has become easier for Indians. The government of President Joe Biden has come up with a new scheme under Startup and Stay. Under this scheme, startups with investment of Rs 2 crore will be allowed to stay in America for five years. The entrepreneur’s wife or husband and three other employees of the startup will also be able to live together in the US. Along with this, the entrepreneur will have to take an investment of Rs 2 crore from America.

America aims to promote local employment from Indian startups. Currently there are 9700 Indian startups in America. These startups, with a total value of about Rs 2 lakh crore, have provided employment to about two lakh people. America wants to double it in five years. The unemployment rate in America is currently 4.10%. This is at the record level of the last two years. Local entrepreneurs are not able to increase employment opportunities. According to US Jobs Report 2024, Indian startups can increase employment opportunities.
