New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: The hearing in the Supreme Court on the bail plea of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been postponed till August 5. Sisodia has sought bail citing the fact that he has been in jail for 16 months. The court said that () CBI’s reply has been filed, () ED’s reply is pending. For this we are giving time till August 1. Actually, Manish Sisodia has filed a bail petition in the corruption and money laundering case related to the alleged liquor scam in Delhi. In the petition, Sisodia has argued that he has been in jail for 16 months and there has been no progress in the case against him since October last year. The court had agreed to hear Sisodia’s pleas on July 16 and sought responses from ()CBI and ()ED. Let us tell you that the CBI had arrested Sisodia on 26 February 2023 for his alleged role in the liquor scam. The CBI registered a case against him, on the basis of which the ED arrested him on March 9, 2023 in a money laundering case. Even before his arrest, Sisodia had sent his resignation from the post of minister to the Delhi government on February 28.
