New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attacked the opposition’s allegations of discrimination in the budget and said that no discrimination has been done to any state. He said the opposition led by Congress is trying to give a wrong impression to the people that their states have not been given funds or schemes in the budget. The Finance Minister clarified in the Rajya Sabha that only two states were mentioned prominently in his budget speech. But he did not take the names of many other states. However, there is definitely something for them in the budget. The Congress party has been in power for a long time and their governments have presented many budgets. They know that there is not a chance to name every state in the budget. He said that the Cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to establish a port in Wadhawan, but yesterday the name of Maharashtra was included in the budget. Does this mean that Maharashtra has been neglected? The Finance Minister said that it has been announced to give Rs 76 thousand crore to Maharashtra for this project.
