Let us tell you that Ragi Bhai Amardeep Singh is a resident of Bodal village of Dasuha, Punjab. The name of Punjab and the country has shined in the whole world through classical music. Giving more information, Amardeep’s elder brother Akashdeep Singh said that my brother Amardeep Singh had gone to America in 2018 and was living in Arizona with his wife and a son. Amardeep has done MA in Indian Classical Music. And he has performed concerts in many big cities of India as well as the world. Many big personalities of the country have honored Amardeep. Our family belongs to the Gotra of Bada Mardana Ji and in singing we belong to the Bodal Gharana.
Amardeep’s brother told that when our relative gave us this information over phone from America, a wave of mourning spread in the entire area, because brother Amardeep Singh was very dear to the people. Regarding this, brother Amardeep Singh’s mother Rajinder Kaur says that Amardeep used to talk to all his brothers continuously on phone, but I did not talk to him for many months. Now I regret it, I wish I could have talked to my son for the last time. He said that the last rites of Amardeep Singh will be performed in America only. Also, all the villagers have demanded from the Punjab Government that a memorial should be built in the memory of Bhai Amardeep Singh in village Bodal so that people can remember this great personality who brought glory to the country for ages.
