Brisbane: Apna Punjabi Media: Diamond Punjabi Productions organized a ‘Women of Brisbane’ fair in collaboration with the local Punjabi community here. At the beginning of the program, singer Malkit Dhaliwal and singer Rajdeep Lali graced the occasion with their singing. After this, famous Punjabi singer Gurnam Bhullar took the festival to its peak by dancing till late night with his new and old hit songs and won a lot of applause with his melodious and powerful voice. In the fair, people gathered in traditional Punjabi cultural colors in the form of daughters, mothers and married young women and expressed their wishes, hopes and happiness, Kinkali, Malwai Gidha and cultural variations were presented. Cultural and literary genres were also the center of attraction. Fair organizers Malkit Dhaliwal, Simran Brar and Kamal Bains jointly said that the main objective of organizing ‘Tees Brisbane’ fair is to revive our cultural heritage which is getting lost in today’s fast-paced materialistic era as well as in foreign countries.
