Devastation caused by storm and heavy rain in eastern Afghanistan, 35 people died

Islamabad: Apna Punjab Media: Taliban official has informed that at least 35 people died today due to heavy rains after the storm in eastern Afghanistan. According to Siddhartha Qureshi, provincial director of the Information and Culture Department, many people have also been injured in Nangarhar province.

Five of the dead belong to the same family. Five members of a family died when the roof of their house on Surkh Road collapsed, while four other members of the family were injured. He said that women and children were also included among the dead and injured. Meanwhile, many properties and crops were heavily damaged in many parts of the province.
