NEW DELHI: Ahead of next year’s Delhi assembly polls, Congress’ Delhi unit president Devender Yadav on Saturday said the party will contest all 70 seats and there will be no alliance. Yadav was replying to a question on the chief ministerial face and alliance prospects after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting here. “We never announced it before. We will contest on all 70 seats. Our leader is elected only after we win. It will be implemented in Delhi too. There will be no alliance. “People of Delhi are not happy with the misrule of AAP and BJP. Senior citizens are not getting old age pension. The poor are not getting their due. Roads are bad. The pollution is out there. Youth are unemployed. Women are suffering due to price rise. The Aam Aadmi Party has opened mohalla clinics only for demonstration. This is the Kejriwal model. Meanwhile, the Congress has appointed party leader Priyavrat Singh as the chairman of the ‘war room’ for the Delhi polls.
