London: Apna Punjab Media: British police have arrested a 14-year-old boy for beating to death an elderly Indian-origin man, Bhim Kohli (80 years). An elderly man was fatally attacked in Leicester city of England while he was walking his dog. The accused, who has not been named for legal reasons, appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Juvenile Court on Thursday, where he has been charged with murder.The postmortem report has confirmed that Kohli died due to neck injury on Sunday evening. Following Kohli’s death in hospital on Monday night, Leicestershire Police arrested five boys aged between 12 and 14, including the 14-year-old accused. The remaining four boys were later released by the police without taking any action. Bhim Kohli’s family has expressed deep grief over his demise. “Bheem was a loving husband, father and grandfather…he loved his grandchildren very much,” the family said in a statement. Even at the age of 80, he was very active and his death has left the family devastated.
