New Delhi: Apna Punjab Media: Before the monsoon session, the government called an all-party meeting on Sunday, in which leaders of 44 parties participated. Apart from the Parliamentary Affairs Ministers, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh participated in the meeting from the government side. Rajnath Singh presided over this meeting held in Parliament House. Some other Union ministers also participated in it. From the opposition, leaders of BJP’s allies including Congress, Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party, YSR Congress, MIM participated. Leaders of Mamata Banerjee’s party did not attend the meeting as they attended the annual Martyrs’ Day rally held in Kolkata on Sunday. In the all-party meeting, Congress demanded that the post of Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha be given to the opposition party and also said that the issue of (NEET UG) should be discussed in the Lok Sabha. Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav raised the issue of writing the name of the shopkeeper on the shops on the way to UP Kavad Yatra. Let us tell you that this order of Uttar Pradesh government is being criticized everywhere. Uttarakhand government has implemented this rule in Haridwar also.
However, after the meeting, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that in the meeting, JDU demanded special category status for Bihar, YSR Congress Party also demanded special category status for Andhra Pradesh. Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien had already written a letter to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju saying that his party has a program in Kolkata, so he would not be able to attend the meeting.
