Shares of Aster DM Healthcare slumped 7.5 percent in opening trade on May 29 after the hospital company reported a net loss for the January-March quarter of FY24.
However, the stock recouped much of its losses soon after the market opened and, at 9:36 am, was trading around 2 percent lower at Rs 171.10 on the NSE. The stock had hit an intraday low of Rs 351 after the market opened.
The company posted net loss of Rs 24 crore in Q4FY24 as against net profit of Rs 170.8 crore in the year-ago period. The bottomline was dragged by a higher tax expense and contribution from discontinued operations.
