Appeal to send armed forces back to barracks

Dhaka: Former senior army generals have appealed to the government to send the armed forces back to their barracks. Former Army chief Iqbal Karim Bhuyan, who was the army chief during Prime Minister Hasina’s government, said, “We appeal to the government to take political initiative to resolve the current crisis. The good reputation of our armed forces should not be tarnished by involving them in such nefarious activities.”
