Akal Warriors Field Hockey Club won the first Brown Cup Field Hockey Tournament held at Khalsa School Calgary Sports Ground.

Winnipeg: Apna Punjab Media: Akal Warriors Field Hockey Club won the title in the first Brown Cup Field Hockey Tournament held at the Khalsa School Calgary Sports Ground. Clubs from Calgary participated in this tournament. Akal Warriors Field Hockey Club won all the matches of the tournament.

Akal Warriors defeated United Field Hockey Club in the semi-finals and Hawks Club in the final to capture the trophy. Kirpal Sidhu, Jagga Lopon, Manveer Singh Mor, Harpreet Nagra, Arshdeep Sidhu, Gagandeep Mann, Lakhan, Karma, Roop Kular, Amarendra Dhillon, Gursevak Bajwa, Jatinder Singh and Sukhjinder Singh Mor participated in the winning team. Club President Yadvinder Sidhu (Yadu) congratulated all the players and club members for this victory.
