Mumbai: Apna Punjab Media: Air India has sent a plane from Mumbai to Russia for the passengers of its Delhi-San Francisco flight. These passengers have been stranded at Krasnoyarsk International Airport in Russia since Thursday. The airline had diverted the Delhi-San Francisco flight to the Russian city after finding a problem in the ‘cargo area’ of the Boeing 777 aircraft. There are 225 passengers and 19 crew members on board the plane.
An Air India official told the news agency that the sent aircraft also has a special team which is capable of providing any kind of assistance to the passengers and crew. He said that there is adequate food arrangement for all the passengers in the special aircraft. Earlier in the day, Air India had said that permission has been sought for the relief flight. The airline has set up hotline numbers 011-69329301 (India) and +13177390126 (US).
