A woman committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of Gurudwara Baba Atal Rai located in the Akal Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib complex.

However, the actual reason for suicide is not yet known

Amritsar: Apna Punjab Media: A woman committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of Gurudwara Baba Atal Rai in the Akal Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib complex, due to which she died on the spot.
The deceased woman has been identified as 35-year-old Katra Dal Singh, resident of Sanyogita, Amritsar. Police are investigating and further action will be taken based on the statement of the woman’s parents. The investigation so far has revealed that the woman had come alone to the Gurudwara premises. The forensic team has also reached the spot for investigation.
