Rupnagar: Apna Punjab Media: A 5-year-old boy from Ropar has made the Punjabi community proud. The 5-year-old son of Dr. Manpreet Kaur and Sukhinderdeep Singh, a student of the local Shivalik Public School and working at Parmar Hospital, studying in class 1 from Ropar Tegbir Singh has created history by reaching the highest peak of the African continent. Tegbir Singh’s father Sukhinderdeep Singh said that due to this achievement, his son has become the first Asian to climb the highest 19340 feet (5895 meter) peak located in Tanzania on the African continent at the youngest age. He said Tegbir started the trek on the 18th with two guides and 2 support staff and equaled the world record by reaching Mount Kilimanjaro on August 23. He told that before this, five-year-old Eggen Zivkobik from Siberia (Russia) had achieved this feat at the youngest age. He said that coach Bikramjit Ghuman has a big contribution in this achievement. He said that he will reach Rupnagar on August 30.
