Sacramento, California (Hussain Ladoa Banga) – According to information received in connection with an accident that occurred last Friday, in which 4 people died and 9 others were injured, the driver of the SUV car was drunk. According to police, the driver crashed his car into a Long Island nail salon in New York, resulting in the horrific accident. The driver, Steven Schweli, 64, told police he had consumed 18 bottles of beer before the crash. Court documents state the driver was drunk at the time of the crash. The driver, who lives in nearby Dix Hills, was arraigned in Suffolk County Court where he pleaded not guilty. Jiankai Chen, 37, Yan Su, 41, Meizi Zhang, 50, and Emilia Renhack, 30, died in the crash, according to Suffolk County Police. According to the police, 38 charges including murder have been registered against the driver. Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney said Steven Schwelly is being held without bail and his license has been suspended.
